Personal Log - On the Road Again

Our corp pulled out of the Alliance so now I am once again relocating and regrouping in Kakakela region. Gotta start doing something to make some mega isk. My crew is restless, as am I, too much moving around not enough ISK making.

Personal Log - Change in the Wind

Been spending a lot of time docked at a space station keeping low and studying. I believe our corp is going to leave the alliance we recently joined and I'm curious to see what direction Nova Force takes. The upcoming meeting should catch everyone up.

I like going out into low and null sec space but I don't see the profit in it at this time. I need to step back and see how I can get on the profit making side of a war.

It's a Whole New Verse

The storm passed and the world is different. Hard to explain, things are clearer somehow. Communications work much more efficiently and the planets are beautiful, as if galactic dust were just blown away.

I just picked up some probes and a launcher and am headed to Kakakela system to pickup several frigates and move them down to orvolle. It will be a long trip tonight but the crew is felling good despite me losing money on a deal. I just got stuck with some minerals and finally got tired of carrying them around so I sold them off cheap, could've made a lot more. Live and learn.

Tomorrow I will be setup to start exploring our sector of space more closely.

Personal Log - Galactic Solar Storm

I've never seen anything like this, thank the gods I was in port when this thing hit. It had been all over the cortex for days. Something about solar flares throughout the galaxy. The scientists seem to know what is going on and no one who's docked is allowed to leave port.

Not that anyone could or would attempt to stop you but from  what I've heard you would have to be a madman to be out in an un-anchored location. Instrumentation and all visibility will shut down. They say mechanical systems should be fine but electronics will have to be completely shielded and navigation will be impossible. Life support systems are mechanical in nature and what limited electronics are used are well inside and shielded.

For the next 16 hours I plan to catch up on some much needed rest. I'll a plan for going forward after this thing passes. Until then I have no problem with holing up.

Captain's Log - Going Dark

Two ops down and the ship is still intact. Never even came close to be taken down but was able to call in the big guns. Cloaking is cool, I can't wait to get my covert op ship.

Mercury I is my light scout Frigate. It's capable of 1000M/s with the afterburner, less cloaked but of course that's classified. The crew is hand picked from my primary cruiser crew and they are tight group of individuals.

The overall operations to hold our place in  low sec was successful. I'm going to start scouting the areas down the pipe and around our POS location. If I can find it anyway. There has to be some very good mining down there.

Recon Scout

I loaded up some minerals and pushed out on a scouting/sales trip to my new home base system. Along the way I fitted out a Condor as my scout ship. I'm training for cloaking now which should benefit me well in the upcoming op.

The sales did pretty  well, i had to jump through some low sec but thanks to scouting the night before I knew what to expect. I've ventured out pretty well last night.I found the highest selling place for Isogen I'd seen in all my traveling. I had to go for it. The plan is to haul another load up and pick up my cloaking device along the way. I'll have to come in for the second wave of the op but should be a good time none the less.

Captain's Log - Abandon Ship!

Once again we ventured out into low sec and once again I lost a ship to pirates. I did manage to start the self destruct sequence but we fell to his fire before it could go off. Of course the crew ordered to abandon ship, we lost two crew members. They will be missed. I can't remember their names but, we will miss them.

Lesson learned. I will henceforth scout low sec very well before moving in for a mining op.

I'm heading back to the Lonetrek region in hopes of finding some decent pricing on refitting Karma Train II. Unless we can find some decent pricing on stuff I don't see much profit in staying as it's looking like a long haul.

It is close to low sec space though if we could do some mining ops there. Maybe need to learn how to scan for other ships with probes as well.

Captain's Log - Mining Excursion

Jumped 18 systems to mine some Omber. The trip was uneventful, thankfully, and the crew eased right into ship routine despite canceling shore leave.

The energy is high, if we hit it big moral will sky rocket, if we don't I may have a mutiny on my hands. It'll be big, already has started off well.

Captain's Log - The Long Haul

I was right, the crew and ship can't get into a rhythm tonight. Not that it's a bad night though, just can't get into the swing of it. Is taking longer to make the ISK though, and time is money, especially out here.

After tonight I'll have to give the crew some shore leave for a night. We've hit it hard the last few days breaking in Prosperity. A night off should let everyone blow off some steam and get them into sync when we return. They're a good crew, Prosperity's a good ship.

Personal Log - Stuck in Port

I tried to setup a mining op with my corp mates tonight but I ended up stuck in the spaceport. Couldn't even send a wave to them to let them know what was going on.

The primary buffer panel fell off my ship and I had to get it repaired before I could take off. Cost me time, which cost me ISK. I can't find my rhythm so I know it will be hard for my crew to find theirs tonight, could be in for a long haul.

Captain's Log - Prosperity's Maiden Voyage

Launched Prosperity today, my new retriever mining barge. It's awesome! She's a cool looking ship with cranks and gears plunging away and the strip miners make all the difference. She is awfully damn slow though. BRB, Gurista Pirates incoming.....Back.... Slow and without drones. There is no room for defenses, she's a bar bones mining barge, that's for damn sure.

I can bring in about 4.5 to 6 Million ISK an hour. That's some pretty good dough for solo mining. This ship has paid for itself in the first hour of mining, including the strip miner costs.

Next goal is get my covert ops qualifications which will take about a month. I'm trying to decide what skills to train up on in the next few days that would help with my battle cruiser plan. I need to look over some ship layouts and setups, do a little research.

Remote Test

Posting from the galley via my remote terminal.

Ahhh, Back to Mining

There's something peaceful about floating around out in space maintaining the mining lasers and watching for incoming pirates. Best view of the stars you could ever ask for. Boring as hell too. Heading in to port tonight to visit the holo plex with a special someone.

I can't wait to get my retriever. I'm getting the shuttle ready to go pick it up and fly it home tomorrow sometime. 16 hours, 31 minutes, 32 seconds. But who's counting? Hopefully that will really step up my production levels which will raise my ISK/hour.

I should be able to make enough money to start getting my fighting ship up to par. I'm going to jump into a battlecruiser while I train up on covert ops. Looks like the alliance is happening and we'll be moving to a new sector. The initial war that will happen from carving out our territory will most likely be expensive.

Will at least beat the monotomy of Gurista Pirates. You know what they always say though, "The asteroids always look denser on the other side of the galaxy." I guess we'll see.

Captain's Log - Studying Hard

Haven't had too much time to mine lately as I've been studying up for my Retriever Qualifications. One of my instructors suggested that I take a short break from Astrogeology to get my Battlecruiser rating. It's only a 7 hour course so why the hell not! I'm on my way to the school of knowledge to pick up my course ware.

I did manage to bring in a couple million ISK today mining. I'm up to about a mil an hour if I can find Plag. I've got a pretty good system of solo mining setup and I can't wait to get into my very own Retriever. I even got a name all picked out....

I self destructed my ship the other day to keep pirate scum from claiming the kill. I keep getting goaded into firing on them so Concord is never of any assistance. Once I can get a good PVP ship I'll start coming back and kicking their asses.

Personal Log - Daily Grind

I miss the blackness of the verse. I've been sitting around my station quarters too long. Been spending long hours studying up for my Retriever Qualifications, still have about 10 days to go but I'm getting there. I get to start studying Astrogeology later today, finally I'm going to be learning about the minerals and the asteroids!

I've been running some low level missions and doing some small scale mining ops. I'm out taking a break from studying at the moment and mining a quick batch of asteroids. I can't wait to get my retriever qualifications, and the boat itself of course, and the mining outfit I'll need for it!

Captain's Log - Back in the Swing of Things

I managed to recover fairly well. Still learning though. I dropped my ISK down 700K by inadvertently purchasing an upgraded clone for 7.6 Million ISK, I thought it was 760K! I've hooked up with the original corp I was holding off on joing because they were war decked. We spent 2 hours mining as a group with an Orca and I made some big bucks. I'm still only up to about half my pre pod kill amount but I'm getting it back faster than I thought I would.

Training has slowed down considerably as it's taking me 15 days to get to level 5 status on my Frigate and Electronic Upgrade ratings, that's 30 days total! I lost a few attribute points when I got pod killed due to a couple of implants, nothing major there though.

Hopefully, Sunday should be a pretty good mining day and I'll be make some serious ISK. I've been spending my time trying to run some missions. I'm hoping I can get up to level 3 or 4 missions soon. I'm having to travel a couple of systems over to find agents at my level but it's not a bad commute.

Captain's Log - It's a Cold Verse

Thank the gods for clones. It appears the learning curve in this new world is steep and very sharp. I decided to take a tour of a low sec system, mistake number one. As soon as I entered the system I thought the best thing to do was visit a base, mistake number two. As I entered I saw two 'red' players sitting off the station, I thought nothing of it as I entered the station. I looked around a bit, checked the market and the agent list, nothing I could afford and no agents that were my level.

A split second after I left the docking bay my shields and armor were down and the hull was crumbling fast. I was obliterated before I could even clear the station. I tried to warp but of course that was being jammed. I was pod killed without so much as a warning. The next thing I remember was waking up in the clone bay.

Insurance paid up and I've managed to get an osprey back up and outfitted, mostly. I'm enroute back to Kakakela, a bit battered, mostly my pride. I knew better than to attempt a sector with .3 security rating, especially alone.

I'll have to chalk up another couple of marks for people who deserve payback.

Captain's Log - Pot O Gold

Yes, the new mining operation can be classified a raging success. Over 2 mil ISK in less than an hour, I'll take it. Moving to this system where I can mine and sell is awesome. I save all the time I was taking moving two systems over to sell. I've been able to leave my containers in place for 2 days and they've stayed in the perfect spots, that's been a bit of luck but I'll take what I can get.

Captain's Log - Mining

I've become a fairly successful miner, for someone just starting out in the verse anyway. I've upgraded to a cruiser and Miner II's. I've been using Komokor as home base and selling the raw ore a couple jumps over. I'm setting up in a new system as we speak, I'll let you know how it goes here as it's a little lower security.

I've hooked up with a mining corp and made some good money, quickly. It basically doubles my take in half the time, that's good business. It's slow work solo mining. I have to set my secure holds with Serenity II and then go back and transfer ships to Prosperity II to mine and fill the holds. Then go back, switch ships to pick up the load and take it to market. It takes awhile but I've been bringing in about 1/2 a million ISK an hour.

I should be able to shave quite a bit of time off my market trips in this new system. Let's see how it goes.

Captain's Log - New Life in Eve

I've managed to survive in Eve for two weeks, tomorrow. I'm currently setting off a massive scordite asteroid in the Todaki system. I'm hoping the ore I can refine from it should fetch me close to a million ISK. It's a pretty quiet system tonight, at least around Todaki VI asteroid belt.

It's the 3rd day in a row I've tried solo mining with varying degrees of success. I've been trying to jet mine. I loaded up a Merlin with 2 Miner I's and 2 missle launchers. With an extended cargo container I can mine pretty fast but I have to keep up with emptying the ship cargo into the jet can.

The first night a pirate came buy and flipped my can. They do this to get on your nerves. They hope you will fire them and then they can kill you without getting Concorded. It's a pain in the ass. I was at least warned in advance of this. Still, I guess I pissed the guy off and he blew me to bits. I guilted him about it until he gave me a million ISK. All said and done I came out ahead by about 750,000 ISK.

The second night I had trouble locating an asteroid field and when I did the big mining corps would come in just ransack everything. At least they didn't bother me and let me mine my little roids until they had taken everything else. I managed half a carg of ore and sold it all for about 250,000.

Tonight the asteroid belt is empty at the moment so I came out in my badger. It's cargo hold is huge but with only one miner it's slow as hell. Gave me time to catch up on my captain's log though.

Captain's Log - Worm Hole

WTF! None of the stars register on my charts? I was sucked into a worm hole, at least that's what it must have been. None of my charts are reading correctly, I have no idea where I'm at. I'm making a bee line for what appears to be a massive station several hundred thousand clicks away. I have a hull breach and am running on auxiliary life support and power. I don't know if I'm in another dimension or another galaxy, whatever is going on I'm not in Kansas anymore!

I have fighter escorts beside me now directing me into the station, they say they are part of the Caldari security forces. It could be a long day.....
